Palisade Homes and Real Estate Market
What's behind the spectacular rise in Palisade's current real estate trend? It's reputation as the "Fruit and Wine Capital of Colorado" has long secured Palisade as a popular tourist destination. But, it's also becoming a destination for impressive living. Interest in Palisade started around 2017 when several wineries sold for big price tags along with a few large producing orchards.
Popular for it's tree-lined streets and older Victorian-style homes, quaint parks, excellent schools and some of the most dramatic views in the entire Grand Valley. Most Palisade homes are within walking distance of the delightful Downtown. A stroll through Downtown and around will delight your senses with barrels full of colorful flowers, antique shops, boutiques, art galleries and the cozy sidewalk cafes. Residents enjoy going downtown for the popular Sunday Farmer's Market for locally grown fruit and vegetables, arts and crafts and live music. The market is held Downtown June through September.
Throughout Spring and Summer music sweeps through Palisade with its many festivals. The venues are always sold out and you need to grab tickets early for the Palisade Bluegrass and Roots Festival, Colorado Mountain Winefest, and Palisade Peach Festival. Outdoor summer concerts at the local wineries is a big favorite. Some sell food and others allow you to bring your own.
Options for home ownership include homes on acreage, homes with vineyards or orchards, Victorian homes, townhomes and small subdivisions. Housing is at a premium due to the town's small size and land area.
