Grand Junction City, Colorado Market Report
About Grand Junction City, Colorado
Downtown Grand Junction is the heart of the Grand Valley. Boutiques, great restaurants, tree-lined pedestrian friendly streets and year round festivals and events. The annual summer Farmer's Market takes place on Main Street and draws residents and visitors from all over. Grand Junction City, or Downtown as it is referred to,  has many city parks, museums, a botanical garden and the Avalon Theatre. The popular Riverfront Trail system is only going to get better with the construction of the new Las Colonias park, amphitheater and boat launch. Schools are scattered through all of the neighborhoods as are churches, and private schools. St. Mary's Hospital and Colorado Mesa University are part of the Grand Junction City. The Historic area of  7th Street between Hill Avenue and White Avenue is a treasure of stately homes surrounded by magnificent trees and flowers. The First Church of Christian Science held their first service in 1930. First Baptist Church on the corner of Grand Avenue and 7th St. dates to 1929. Housing choices are typical of a downtown area; apartment buildings, townhomes, historic homes, established neighborhoods and some new home construction. Grand Junction City has many parks throughout the area. Lincoln Park is the biggest with it's swimming pool, playground, walking trails, picnic shelters and is adjacent to Suplizio Field, home of the Grand Junction Rockies.
