Town of DeBeque is a charming and historic community nestled along the Colorado River and Roan Plateau.
DeBeque is 25 miles east of Grand Junction, off of I-70 at Exit 62 at the mouth of DeBeque Canyon. The exit curves off interstate 70 and crosses over the Colorado River and under the railroad tracks. From there it about 2 miles to town. A small population of about 600 people and approximately 235 homes. It is a statutory town in Mesa County and consists of a framework of parallel streets including a historic downtown featuring a town hall, tavern and several commercial businesses.
DeBeque is a Small Agricultural communtiy and a bounty of open space.
Nearby is the Little Bookcliffs Wild Horse Range. A range comprising of 36,000 + acres of canyone and plateaus, it is home to the wild horses who roams it hills and is a popular photographer and tourist day trip.
Island Acres State Park which is part of the James M. Robb Colorado River State Park system in close-bu. Island Acres has 4 campgrounds that loop amid beautiful and peaceful scenery as well as fishing lakes.
