Downtown Grand Junction has Become a Favorite Destination for Residents and Visitors Seeking Dining, Shopping and Entertainment.
Downtown's lively dining scene has sparked Grand Junction's emerging reputation as a foodie's paradise. Most are locally owned one-of-a-kind eateries, with cuisine for every taste and price range. Dozens of restaurants downtown and throughout town offer outdoor dining during warmer months, typically from April through October. Here are three of my favorite!
If it's craft beer you are looking for!
Rockslide Brewery
The Rockslide Brewery is a Grand Junction staple for those seeking craft beer and good food. Rockslide serves killer pub food, juicy burgers, crisp salads, sandwiches, pasta dishes, seafood and steaks cooked to perfection. My personal favorites are their Jumbo Chicken Wings appetizer basket, Creole Burger, and Bacon-Wrapped Meatloaf. The must-have desert Slide Mudd Pie, is topped with Enstroms almond toffee and chocolate. Rockslide Brewery is always busy because they have the biggest and best patio on Main Street!

Celebrate the food of the British Isles
Goat and Clover
The Goat and Clover restaurant won the award for the Best New Business in 2018, and it was well deserved. The Goat and Clover Tavern celebrates the fun, food and drink of the British Isles. The restaurant features an extensive menu with hard-to-choose from temptations. My personal favorites are the Cloverflower Bites, and Mrs. Weasley's Guiness Stew. If you like to sample whiskey, they offer 9 different Whiskey Flights of 3-one ounce samples with a choice of Irish, Scottish or Bourbon Whiskey. For a great start to the weekend, try the British Isles Weekend Brunch and grab the Corner Beef Eggs Benny, you will be glad you did!

Dream Cafe
You can really take in the downtown urban scene by visiting the Dream Café. The patio is between the sidewalk and the flower planters on Main Street offering a perfect spot for some summertime people watching. The Dream Café proudly serves a wide range of simple and sophisticated tastes for your pleasure. Breakfast is served all day and the menu has lots of egg dishes to choose from. Enjoy a variety of benedicts, deli sandwiches and salads. There are six choices for the Mimosa's and I love the Peach Mimosa. Dream Café also has a kid's menu. My favorites on the menu are the Capicola Breakfast Sandwich, Malibu Chicken Sandwich and the Beet Salad.
