Buying a Home With Solar Already Installed Means the Investment is Financed Through The Mortgage and Makes Solar More Affordable for a Homebuyer than Buying a House without Solar and Subsequently adding Solar Later.
When you put sustainability and energy efficiency at the top of your list of priorities when buying a home, you have the power to live off the sun’s energy.
With solar systems costing on average of $20,000 or more and the Federal Tax Credit is being phased out in 2022, it makes sense to buy a home with solar already installed. Solar power is capital intensive, and the main cost of owning a system comes upfront when buying the equipment. Paying cash is the most cost effective way, however that is not possible for most people. Solar companies are now offering loan programs to help finance a system, but that adds to the overall cost. Leasing a system does not save money and when selling a home can cause complications. I will not discuss leased systems or feature homes with “leased” solar systems.
The homes listed below all have “owned” solar and not “leased” solar as entered into the MLS. There might be errors, so thoroughly research any homes that you may be interested in before making an offer.
Grand Junction Town Homes with solar are listed at the end of the list.
