A $30 million business park is coming to Grand Junction to Add More Outdoor Recreation which is the fastest growing industry.
Grand Junction, Colorado is setting its goal to be the leader in the outdoor recreation and tourist industry. To put the plan into action, the city council approved recently approved plans for a new business park beside Los Colonias Park.
Las Colonias Park and the Riverfront Trail are popular with walkers and bicyclists. The park is being expanded with grants and later this summer a newly built amphitheater will open.
There will be 10 land leases available and the types of companies they want to recruit will have an outdoor focus. The site is adjacent to the Colorado River and would be a great location for a paddle board company with the ability to test the boards on the river.
Local zip line company Bonzai will be relocating their headquarters to the new complex. They plan to build a public zip line for training and recreational purposes across the river.
Up until now, the Edgewater Brewery has been the only business by the park. The brewery always packs a crowd with their outdoor concerts on the lawn and their craft beer festivals. The Brewery is also a favorite for lunch and dinner.
The city noted they already have improved tax incentives for interested businesses. The Grand Junction Area Chamber of Commerce, the Business Incubator and several other business development agencies are all in !
